Rappers Collab on New Arrest

c/o E! News

This Sunday, rappers Ja Rule and Lil' Wayne were arrested. Shortly after performing a concert at Manhattan's Beacon Theatre, a source reports that:
Officers spotted Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Carter, 24, and an unnamed man allegedly smoking marijuana near a tour bus on 61st Street and Columbus Avenue at about 11:30 p.m.
What were they thinking?
Five minutes earlier:
NY, NY. Well-lit, crowded street corner. Night.
Unnamed Man:
Wayne, that was the shit. I ain't care what no one says son, those republicans were wrong about you, dog.
Wayne:
Much appreciated, racial epithet. You holdin?

Unnamed Man:
Fo' sho. But the streets are jumpin. You sure you wanna smoke on this public street after a concert with heavy security?

Wayne:
*#&! them! After we blow, let's hit up Loews and see Who's Your Caddy.

On the same night, rapper Lil' Wayne was arrested. Source:
Meanwhile Ja Rule, born Jeff Atkins, 31, was arrested about an hour earlier on West End Avenue. Police stopped his luxury Sedan for speeding...
Sigh.

This isn't upper class mobility speaking, but these guys can afford to know better. If Ja was on that Su Doku instead of that throttle he might think twice before doing something illegal while doing something illegal. And Wayne? Police are already watching your ass, which is not demure enough to pull a Winona Ryder.

Double sigh.
I pledge here and now that when I get that glow, I will not be speeding around the West End with a .40 caliber. Nor will you be able to read my name when I smile. Seriously, why wear a mill on your neck when you can make that plus interest on the stock market in five years? Or with high yield savings accounts? There's no point in being rich if you can't secure future generations.
And if you assumed both were carrying weapons, you were right.

If you were briefly bewildered, I apologize for the mix-up. Sometimes I confuse NAACP Image Award winning convicted rappers with non- NAACP Image Award winning convicted rappers.
